Allows you to upload and share photos over the internet.

When to use it: 

To share and distribute photos via the internet.

Where: 

Use it where google is accessible and not blocked.

Strengths: 

Picasa gives you 1 gigabyte of storage space free. There is also a downloadable application available for Windows and Linux users that allows editing.

Suggested use: 

Share photos of important events with constituents. Create groups where people can discuss issues. Ask people to support campaigns by uploading their own photos with specific 'tags'.

Security concerns: 

Google is ambivalent to privacy challenges. For example, complaints to EU privacy regulators over Gmail's indexing and scanning practices were not addressed.
