What it does:
Essentially this is a blog for short items you've 'tumbled' upon.
When to use it:
If you have several short items that you want to keep track of. Works well with different media - pictures, web pages, text, etc.
Strengths:
It is easy to create your own tumble log with an address like 'nameofyourcampaign.tumblr.com'. It also has buttons for your browser that allow you to capture URLs for your Tumble blogs.
Weaknesses:
It is not for long blog posts. It also does not allow you to tag or categorise your posts, which is a huge weakness.
Suggested use:
Keep constituents informed of items around the web that are related to your campaign.
